This license governs the use of ShipGodot, a commercial GitHub template repository for building and shipping Godot games to iOS, developed and distributed by CHACRON.ONE.
ShipGodot and its associated files (the "Software") are licensed, not sold. Access to the Software is provided either on a subscription basis or through a one-time Perpetual License, as described below. By obtaining access to the Software through any channel authorized by the Licensor, you ("the Licensee") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
0. Definitions
"Software" refers to the ShipGodot template repository, specifically the files bearing the CHACRON.ONE copyright header within it, including:
- All YAML workflow files within the
.github/workflows/directory - All Ruby and Fastlane files within the
build/fastlane/directory - Any future files added to those directories to which the Licensor adds the copyright header
All other files in this repository — including documentation, configuration scaffolding, and README files — are excluded from this license and are provided without restriction.
"Licensor" refers to CHACRON.ONE, the original author and copyright holder of the Software.
"Licensee" refers to the individual or entity that has obtained authorized access to the Software through either an Active Subscription or a valid Perpetual License.
"Subscription" refers to the paid, time-limited arrangement under which the Licensee receives access to the Software repository and ongoing updates.
"Active Subscription" means a subscription that has not expired, been cancelled past its paid term, or otherwise been terminated.
"Subscription License" refers to the license granted to a Licensee on a subscription basis under Section 2.1.
"Perpetual License" refers to the license granted to a Licensee in exchange for a single, one-time payment under Section 2.2, entitling the Licensee to a Snapshot Version of the Software without ongoing repository access, updates, or support.
"Subscription Licensee" refers to a Licensee holding a Subscription License with an Active Subscription. "Perpetual Licensee" refers to a Licensee holding a valid Perpetual License.
"Acquired Version" refers to any version of the Software that a Subscription Licensee has obtained from the repository while their subscription was Active, including any modifications they have made to it and any copies integrated into their own projects.
"Snapshot Version" refers to the version of the Software delivered to a Perpetual Licensee as a packaged archive at the time of their one-time purchase, including any modifications they have made to it and any copies integrated into their own projects.
"Derivative Work" refers to any modification, adaptation, or work based in whole or in part on the Software.
1. Grant of License
Subject to the terms of this license and contingent on either an Active Subscription or a valid Perpetual License, the Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Use, modify, and integrate the Software in their own private projects and products.
- Create and maintain private repositories — including private GitHub template or deployment repositories — built from or containing the Software, provided such repositories remain private and accessible only to the Licensee at all times.
- Distribute compiled, built, or otherwise processed output of their projects that incorporates the Software, provided the Software's source code is not exposed in any public repository or unprotected distribution channel.
- Use the Software in commercial or non-commercial products.
The specific manner in which the Licensee obtains the Software and receives (or does not receive) updates depends on their license type, as set out in Section 2.
Note: For interpreted or scripting languages (including YAML and Ruby) where source code constitutes the distributable, the Licensee must ensure the Software's source is not exposed in any public repository or unprotected distribution channel.
2. Term, Access, and Continued Use
The Software is made available under two license types. The rights to use, modify, and ship projects granted in Section 1 apply to both; the rules governing access, updates, and continued use differ as follows.
2.1 Subscription License
Access under a Subscription License is granted on a subscription basis. The following rules apply:
- While the subscription is Active: the Licensee has full access to the Software repository, receives all updates as they are published, and may use any version of the Software in their projects under the terms of Section 1.
- When the subscription expires or is terminated: the Licensor will revoke the Licensee's access to the Software repository. The Licensee is no longer entitled to obtain new versions, updates, or fixes.
- Surviving rights: The Licensee retains a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to continue using, modifying, and shipping projects that incorporate Acquired Versions of the Software obtained during their Active Subscription. This includes continuing to operate CI/CD pipelines and projects built with copies of the Software already integrated before expiration.
- No further copying after expiration: Once the subscription is no longer Active, the Licensee may not download, copy, or otherwise obtain any new portion of the Software, including from cached, archived, or third-party sources.
- Resuming access: The Licensee may renew or restart their subscription at any time to regain repository access and resume receiving updates.
For clarity: a Subscription License does not grant the Licensee the right to a permanent copy of the Software repository. The surviving rights described above apply only to Acquired Versions already integrated into the Licensee's own projects at the moment the subscription ceased to be Active.
2.2 Perpetual License
A Perpetual License is granted in exchange for a single, one-time payment. The following rules apply:
- Delivery: the Licensee receives a Snapshot Version of the Software — the version current at the time of purchase — as a packaged archive. The Perpetual License does not include access to the Software repository.
- As is, no updates: the Snapshot Version is provided as is. The Perpetual Licensee is not entitled to any updates, new versions, fixes, or support, and will not receive subsequent changes to the Software.
- Perpetual use: the Licensee holds a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use, modify, and ship projects that incorporate their Snapshot Version under the terms of Section 1, including the creation and operation of private template or deployment repositories and CI/CD pipelines built from it.
- Obtaining newer versions: to obtain a version of the Software newer than their Snapshot Version, the Licensee must purchase a new Perpetual License for the then-current version or start a Subscription. A Perpetual License does not entitle the Licensee to download, copy, or otherwise obtain any portion of the Software beyond the Snapshot Version they purchased.
3. Restrictions
The Licensee may not:
- Distribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the Software's source code in substantial portions, including via public code repositories.
- Create, publish, or maintain any template repository, deployment repository, or other repository containing substantial portions of the Software's source code that is not private and accessible only to the Licensee.
- Create, distribute, or publish any Derivative Work that reproduces or exposes substantial portion of the Software's source code.
- Claim ownership of the Software or imply endorsement by the Licensor.
- Transfer this license — whether a Subscription License or a Perpetual License — to any other individual or entity.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright header or proprietary notice from any file covered by this license.
- Share, lend, or otherwise grant any other individual or entity access to the Software repository, to any Snapshot Version, or to any version of the Software that the recipient was not authorized to receive through the recipient's own Active Subscription or Perpetual License.
- Continue to retain or use the Software in any form intended to circumvent the requirement to hold a valid Active Subscription or Perpetual License, beyond the rights expressly granted in Section 2.
4. Copyright Headers
All files covered by this license bear the following copyright header, which must be preserved in all copies and Derivative Works, including within any Snapshot Version:
For YAML files:
# Copyright © 2026 CHACRON.ONE. All rights reserved.
# Licensed under the CHACRON.ONE Commercial License.
# Unauthorized copying, distribution, or public disclosure is strictly prohibited.
# See LICENSE.md or https://shipgodot.com/license for full terms.
For Ruby/Fastlane files:
# Copyright © 2026 CHACRON.ONE. All rights reserved.
# Licensed under the CHACRON.ONE Commercial License.
# Unauthorized copying, distribution, or public disclosure is strictly prohibited.
# See LICENSE.md or https://shipgodot.com/license for full terms.
The presence of this header in a file is the definitive indicator that the file is covered by this license.
5. Ownership
The Software remains the exclusive intellectual property of CHACRON.ONE. All rights not expressly granted in this license are reserved by the Licensor.
6. Warranty Disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or inability to use the Software.
7. Updates and Support
While a subscription is Active, the Subscription Licensee receives access to repository updates through GitHub and may receive support at the Licensor's discretion. Both updates and support cease when the subscription is no longer Active.
A Perpetual License does not include updates or support of any kind. The Perpetual Licensee receives only the Snapshot Version delivered at the time of purchase, as described in Section 2.2.
8. Termination
This license is automatically and immediately terminated if the Licensee breaches any of its terms. Termination for breach is distinct from subscription expiration: upon termination for breach, the Licensee must cease all use of the Software — including any Acquired Versions and any Snapshot Version — and destroy all copies in their possession. The surviving rights described in Section 2.1 and the perpetual use rights described in Section 2.2 do not apply in cases of termination for breach.
Sections 5 (Ownership), 6 (Warranty Disclaimer), and 9 (Governing Law) survive termination of this license under any circumstances.
The Licensor reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies in the event of a breach.
9. Governing Law
This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any disputes arising from this license shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Poland.
